It was with much sadness that I read of Doug's death. I knew him from his many years on the Livingston County Catholic Social Services board of directors when I was the Director there. He was such a warm and compassionate person who went out of his way to volunteer his time and services. As a protective services worker he took his job very seriously and had a real passion for helping children and their parents. His own children meant the world to him and he spoke of them often. Doug was a sincere person who greatly enjoyed the art of conversation and had an infectious laugh. During his tenure as board president of LCCSS, he filled in for me during a medical leave of absence and gave generously of his time and energy. I know he really enjoyed his work in Germany. My prayers go out to his children and other family members. Nancy Rosso
