Mario Attilio

Mario Attilio

Mario died on February 19, 2010. He went into the hospital for a valve replacement surgery on February 18. It is something that the doctors have been watching for 4 years. We don't know what happened, but it wasn't supposed to. He was a healthy 58 year old man. I have posted the obituary link below.

To Mario's family, I wish you peace and strength at this terrible time. I read his obituary and see the man he had become andhow much he did for the people in his life. He and I were not friends but our class is and was very inter-connected.

At our reunion I saw all of us then and now,I had not realized how much the class of "69" is unlike any other. There will be be no one like him. My children and I send our deepest sympathy. Jude,Sarah, and Dylan Tasker

Mario,

I want to apologize for the lateness of my message to you.  Yea, yea I know there ain’t no excuses.  I just kept putting it off until tomorrow and here it is today. That’s my excuse, and I’m going to stick with it.

Mario, I have had a chance to visit & talk with Diane at our LHS gatherings at “The Lanes”, and she has told us about the wonderful life you shared together.  You made Diane a happy woman with life in Arizona, raising two outstanding children, and the time you shared together running your business.  Dude, you did good!

I do have a small point to pick with you though.  How in the hell did you get away with that cheesy “Greaser” mustache in high school.  I tried to grow one once.  Norm Schultz told me “if you don’t cut off that scrawny thing off, I’m going to put some milk on it and let my cat lick it off”.  Also, how did a “Dago Red” like you end up with such a hot little “Frenchy” like Diane?  Did you have big paws?

We will miss you,
Rick
